Educational Directories Unlimited's Rapid Growth Results In Vice President of Operations Hire

Educational Directories Unlimited, Inc. (EDU), the online service provider of Studyabroad.com and Gradschools.com, has recently hired Sam Guittare for the newly created position of Vice President of Operations.
In less than one year, EDU has increased the number of full-time employees from seven to fifteen and is expected to triple that amount by mid-2001.
"There was a definitive need for an Operations Manager, given our rapid growth," said Mark Shay, President of Educational Directories Unlimited. "We are exciting about having Sam Guittare on board and are confident he will be an asset to the company."
The position of Vice President of Operations will include managing payroll and all employee-related issues, managing the daily operations and expenditures of the firm and assisting in strategic decisions.
Sam Guittare has over 20 years of management experience, most recently as Vice President of Technical Resolution at Reinsurance Solutions International, a subsidiary of Ace USA. (f.k.a. CIGNA) and Guy Carpenter (f.k.a. Sedgwick Re). He also earned an MBA from Widener University in 1989 and a BS from Widener in 1975.
