GradSchoolFairs.com Event Gives Away $8,000 in Scholarships to Graduate Students
Chester, PA, September 12, 2000 -
GradSchoolFairs.com, a new service of Educational Directories Unlimited, Inc., is giving away eight $1,000 scholarships at the graduate school fair in Philadelphia and the virtual fair at http://www.gradschoolfairs.com.
GradSchoolFairs.com's inaugural grad fair will be held on September 27, 2000, in downtown Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. During the live event, five $1,000 scholarships will be given away to randomly selected attendees. Attendees of the live event will also be able to view schools' web sites, attend forums and have coffee with recruiters, in addition to the usual information-gathering activities.
A virtual fair will also be held online starting September 13th. At the completion of the fair on October 10th, three $1,000 scholarships will be randomly given away to those who had visited during the course of the event. The online fair will host virtual booths for each exhibitor, discussion boards where students and recruiters can interact, general chat rooms so students can communicate with each other, and private chat rooms for each school.
Students must register to win. They can do so at the live event in Philadelphia or on the GradSchoolFairs.com web site, http://www.gradschoolfairs.com.
"Giving away scholarships only adds to the excitement. GradSchoolFairs.com is a revolutionary approach to graduate school fairs," said President Mark Shay. "We are incorporating the traditional method of graduate recruiting with innovative technology. It is very exciting to help students not only find graduate school programs but also help them finance their education."
