Interim Dean Joins EDU In Efforts To Reach The Academic Community

Chester, PA, July 25, 2000 -

John Ousey, Ph.D has been named Educational Directories Unlimited's (EDU) interim dean, a newly created position that acts as an academic liaison.

EDU's intent on hiring Ousey is to maintain their academic focus throughout their growth stages.

The interim dean will serve as an advisor as well as a representative.

"John brings with him years of experience in both teaching and advising," said Mark Shay, President of EDU. "His devotion to high-quality education and passion for teaching reinforces our commitment to supporting higher education."

Next month, Ousey will retire from Penn State's Delaware County Campus, where he has taught for the last 30 years. He was named the campus' Outstanding Teacher for 1999-2000, which was the third time he received this award. He has also won university-wide awards for innovation and teaching.

"I am pleased to take a position in the field of academic services now that I am retiring from the classroom," said Ousey. "I am impressed with EDU's leadership and commitment to excellence. I trust I will be able to offer EDU the benefit of my experience and ideas."
