Founded as an on-campus marketing company, EDU transitioned to the online marketplace with the StudyAbroad.com directory in 1995.

Marc Stormes
Marc Stormes is the president of EDU, after serving as Controller and then Vice President of Business Management since 2004. A CPA by training, Stormes has extensive experience in technology and operations management, and possesses more than 25 years of experience managing small and medium sized companies, serving in various roles that include VP operations, CIO and CFO. Stormes also served as a self-employed accountant and business consultant for five years.
He received a bachelor’s in science degree from Fordman University in 1980, and earned 30 graduate credit hours toward an MBA at Drexel University. He passed his CPA exam in his first sitting, and is certified in New York and Pennsylvania. He also serves as a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Peter Schamel
Peter Schamel is the Chief Administrative Officer of EDU, a leading digital media content and marketing provider in the higher education market, and an operating division of Halyard Education Partners. Mr. Schamel is responsible for operational, technology, marketing and creative strategy at EDU, and oversees the implementation of best practices drawn from the combination of large corporate, entrepreneurial and consulting environments in his background.
Prior to joining EDU, Schamel held positions as Chief Information Officer for iN DEMAND Networks, provider of Video-on-Demand, Pay-Per-View and HiDef movie, sports and original entertainment content to the majority of residential cable systems in the United States, and for Steve & Barry’s University Sportswear, one of the fastest-growing retail chains in the nation. Concurrently, he chaired the organizing committee for the annual Fire Island Dance Festival, nearly tripling its annual proceeds and guiding the organization to a cumulative $1 million raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. During the Internet boom, Schamel put in a stint as CTO for mazescape.com and from there was recruited to become Senior Director for Metrius, BearingPoint’s in-house boutique branding, user experience and e-business strategy consultancy.
Schamel holds an MBA in Marketing, as well as bachelors and masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, a bachelors in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and a master of music degree in Opera Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. His diverse list of previous employers also includes 3M, MetLife, JP Morgan, the NBA and the Minnesota and Santa Fe Opera companies.
Clara Pitts
Clara Pitts is the Vice President of Product Management at Educational Directories Unlimited (EDU). She is responsible for overseeing the budgets and profits for all EDU websites, and for making sure marketing, branding and other important elements are given attention and kept consistent.
Pitts has spent her entire career at EDU, having started as a content manager and then becoming the product manager of GradSchools.com, the manager of operations, the senior product manager and ultimately the VP. She received an undergraduate degree in psychology from Haverford College and an MBA in technology and e-commerce from West Chester University. She got married two years ago and just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
John Trinsey
John S. Trinsey III is the Vice President of Sales for EDU, a marketing firm specializing in connecting students with schools. He comes from an extensive successful sales and sales management background with over 25 years in the broadcast and cable industry working for companies such as CBS, Cox and Comcast.
Trinsey has demonstrated a successful record in performing national sales with both CBS and COX in the Southeastern United States, negotiating business with major advertising agencies and clients such as Coca Cola, Delta Airlines and Chrysler.
Trinsey has won five national singles Rowing Championships and was a contender for the 1972 Olympics. Philanthropic associations with which he has been involved include the National Kidney Foundation and Hershey and Lancaster PA Sertoma. He is a graduate of Widener University, right across the street from EDU’s home office.
